Northeast Saskatchewan is a distinct trading area that includes the communities of Tisdale, Nipawin, Melfort, Hudson Bay, and Wadena. IMPORTANT TRANPORTATION FACTS Tisdale is located on the intersection of Highway #3 and Highway #35 The intersection of #3 and #35 has traffic volumes of 11,200 vehicles per day and is host to the largest 7-Eleven in Canada (by floor space) Railway service is provided by both CN and CP who maintain a traffic flow of about one train per day It is rare to see a community serviced by more than one rail company which has encouraged industrial and agricultural development around the town The community has a fully equipped municipal airport with two lighted runways providing 24 hour service The Saskatchewan Transportation Company provides bus services with three buses arriving and departing daily Various trucking companies operate from Tisdale, moving products and materials to meet the regions transportation needs |
