The Town of Tisdale is currently accepting applications for a Certified Level II Utilities Technician.
Duties of this position include:
Ø Operation and maintenance of:
o Modern Membrane water treatment plant
o Water Wells
o Water distribution system
o Sewage pumping facility
o Sewage Lagoon
o Sewage collection system
Ø Assist/supervise maintenance of underground utility infrastructure
Ø Read water meters as directed by the utility clerk
Ø Replace water meters as needed
Ø Deliver water meters to plumbing contractors when requested
Ø Turn water off and on to houses and businesses as requested or required by the utility clerk
Ø Participate in a rotational “on call duties” schedule
The ideal candidate will have:
Ø Positive work attitude
Ø Level II or higher Certification in Water & Waste Water
Ø Knowledge of Sask Environment regulations
Ø Experience in Membrane water filtration
Ø Certification/experience in operation of equipment such as: Backhoe, Loader, Skidsteer, and Grader)
Ø Experience with plumbing
Ø Some basic mechanical skills
Ø A class 5 or higher drivers licence
The successful applicant will become a member of the C.U.P.E. Local 777-02 Union.
